This half term our new topic is Towers, Tunnels and Turrets.
During our topic we will learn about Castles and all of the different parts of castles, including towers, tunnels and turrets.
In Geography we will learn about the different locations of castles and towers and where local castles are.
In History we will look at the history of castles and why they were built.
During music we will continue to work on our music and singing skills.
In Computing we will get the children familiar with using the computers and logging on and learning how to use the computers to complete work about castles. The children will look at programming, handling data, multimedia and internet safety.
In Art and Design and D&T we will be developing our sketching and painting skills and creating some castle artwork. We will also be designing and creating our own castles.
In Science we will be investigating the best materials to build castles with and investigating the strongest way to build a bridge for a castle.
In P.E we will be looking at Games and Skills and Dance. P.E. is on Wednesday and Friday, so please ensure that your child has their P.E kit with them for the whole week.
Please can you ensure you child has a waterproof coat with them everyday, so we can be ready for whatever the weather!
